I am a native of Austin, Texas. My family roots can be traced back to the 1830s when Austin was a small village called Waterloo. I have seen the city transition from a sleepy college town to the world-renowned Austin of today and have a unique understanding and perspective on its diverse neighborhoods. My knowledge of Austin real estate – developed from decades of growing up and living here as a single parent – is one of the most helpful assets I provide to my clients. Whether you are interested in buying, selling, or investing in a home or property, you want an individual who has an intimate knowledge of Austin as it is today and who has an eye to its future. I studied economics at the University of Nebraska and the University of Maryland at College Park. My graduate studies were done at St. Edwards University (MBA program) and St Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio (JD and MJUR programs).
I have served on the Austin YMCA (East Communities) Board of Directors, the Nebraska Judicial Nominating Commission (appointed by the Governor), and the Nebraska Foster Care Review Board. I served our country in the Navy and was fortunate to be stationed in a variety of locations around the United States and across the world.
After marrying, I embarked on my career in private sector sales, becoming sales manager and ultimately market director, at three well-known companies: Sprint-Nextel, Dun & Bradstreet, and Ogilvy & Mather. My professional background and experience has given me a thorough understanding of the needs of both corporate and military re-locations.On any given day you can find me at the gym, or swimming in Town Lake or in one of our many fine neighborhood pools. A former classical musician, I remain highly engaged in the Austin Symphony, the ballet and several of the local theaters. As both longtime residents and relative newcomers can attest, Austin has a lot to offer in terms of the arts and I am happy to share my knowledge of them.My most important role is being a Dad. I volunteer at my son Reed’s elementary school, and I can boast an extraordinary level of expertise in “crust-removal” for nearly any kind of sandwich. I enjoy attending his swim meets and practices. I look forward to meeting you and hope to have the opportunity to help you.
In 2017, I was certified by the National Association of Realtors as a Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE).
